SableMinded featured on Skagit River Web site for FEMA post

I was recently asked if one of my blog posts, “FEMA: The Elephant in the Middle of the Room,” could be featured on a Web site based out of Skagit River County, Wash. Of course I said yes to this request!

The site, www.skagitriverhistory.com, is owned and operated by Larry Kunzler. He has dedicated at least 30 years to researching the flood issue in Skagit County. He said the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) issue is becoming a big one in Washington, too.

My post is up on the Web site, as well as the comments it collected. (Scroll down to “Guest Documents” and find me there!)

It’s a really informative Web site, and I encourage everyone to visit. Hopefully I will have some opportunities to work with Kunzler in the future. It’s comforting to know the Bayshore is not alone in both its risk and its battle with the agency.
